What days does FreshFold operate?

FreshFold provides pickup and delivery services Monday through Friday.

For our customers with a Friday pickup, we offer a special weekend turnaround: your clean, folded laundry will be delivered back to you on Saturday morning. This ensures you have your favorite clothes ready to go for the weekend without having to wait until Monday.

Do I have to be home for pickup or delivery?

No! Most of our customers prefer “contactless” service. Just leave your laundry in a secure, designated spot (like your front porch, behind a gate) and let us know where to find it in your order notes. We will be in communications along the way via text, reminding you of the night before and morning of to make sure you place your laundry bag on the designated spot for pickup and another when the folded clothes are safely back at your door.

Will my clothes be washed with other people’s laundry?

Absolutely not. We prioritize hygiene and care. Your laundry is never mixed with another customer’s items. Each order is processed individually in its own dedicated machines throughout the entire washing and drying cycle to ensure total separation and quality control.

What is the standard turnaround time?

We offer two convenient options to fit your schedule:

  • Standard Service: 24-hour turnaround. Items picked up today are delivered fresh and folded by the afternoon tomorrow.
  • Express Service: Same-day delivery. If you schedule your pickup by 10a, we will have your laundry back to you by the evening.

How is price determined, and is there a minimum?

To keep things simple, we charge a straight, flat rate cost per bag size for all standard clothing (shirts, pants, socks, etc.). Since we focus exclusively on personal apparel to ensure the highest quality fold, we do not currently accept bulky household items like comforters or rugs.

What goes in my bags? What’s counts as standard clothing?

Think of it this way: If it’s an item you would normally wash or dry in your machines at home, it belongs in the bag! This includes:

  • Everyday Wear: T-shirts, polos, jeans, shorts, and casual button-downs.
  • Children & Kids Clothing: Onesies, play clothing, school uniforms, cotton dresses, and pajamas. (We love helping busy parents clear the laundry mountain!)
  • Athletic Gear: Gym shorts, leggings, moisture-wicking tops, and yoga pants.
  • Undergarments: Socks, underwear, and pajamas
  • Daily Basics: Hoodies, sweatshirts, and cotton dresses.
  • Machine-washable and dryer-safe delicate items, lacy undergarments or expensive leggings.

What should I NOT put in the bag?

  • Dry Clean Only: Suits, blazers, silk, or structured wool coats.
  • Heavy Household Items: Comforters, rugs, bathmats, or heavy blankets. (We focus exclusively on personal apparel to ensure the best fold!)
  • Leather & Suede: These require specialized cleaning processes we do not currently offer.
  • Hazardous Materials: Items heavily soiled with oil, grease, or chemicals, or anything that has been exposed to pests, like bed bugs.

Do I need to sort my laundry or provide a specific bag?

Leave the sorting to us! We professionally separate your whites and darks to ensure every garment stays looking its best. To make your first experience seamless, we provide custom-branded laundry bags based on the service size your select. Once you sign up, we will drop off your specific bags in advance of your first scheduled pickup. No need to hunt for a bag-just fill yours up and we’ll handle the rest!

What is your policy on lost or damaged items?

We treat your wardrobe with the utmost care and precision. For your peace of mind, our service is fully insured to cover your garments from the moment we pick them up, throughout the cleaning process, and until they are safely back at your door. In the rare event that an item is damaged or misplaced while in our care, we provide a streamlined claims process for reimbursement or credit. Please notify us of any concerns within 24 hours of delivery.

(Note: to protect your clothing, we kindly ask that you double-check all pockets before your pickup, as we cannot be held responsible for damage caused by items left inside, such as pens, lip balms, or coins.)

What kind of detergents do you use?

We use professional-grade detergents that are tough on stains but gentle on fabrics. We also proudly offer a hypoallergenic, “Free & Clean” option for customers with sensitive skin or allergies at no extra charge. You can select your preference when scheduling your pickup.

How to set up a subscription or one-off order

How to Subscribe

  1. Sign Up: Click Sign-In (top right), select Login, and enter your personal details and payment info.
  2. Pick Your Plan: Select Join a Subscription, choose your bag size, and confirm. Your monthly billing starts here.
  3. Place an Order: On the new order page, re-select your bag size and choose your turnaround time (Next Day is included; Same Day has a small fee).
  4. Finish: Select your pickup date and confirm.

Note: You get 4 credits per month. Track your remaining pickups under My Account.

One-Off Orders (Try Before You Buy)
Don’t want a subscription? You can still place a single order: Select Try before I subscribe under pickup and delivery. Choose your bag size and pickup date. You will be charged a one-time fee once the order is processed/cleaned, rather than upfront.

Can I sign up mid-month or request a one-time pickup?

Absolutely! You don’t have to wait until the 1st of the month to start checking off your to-do list.

  • Flexible Start Dates: You can sign up at any time. Your monthly subscription begins on the day you join and is valid for a full month from that date (e.g., if you sign up on the 12th, your next billing cycle begins on the 12th of the following month).
  • Immediate Access: Your 4 monthly pickups become available immediately upon sign-up. To ensure we have time to drop off your custom-branded bags and coordinate our driver’s route, please complete your sign-up at least 24 hours in advance of your desired first service day.
  • One-Time Pickups: While our service is designed as a recurring monthly subscription to guarantee your dedicated spot on our route, we do offer one-time on-demand pickups based on current route availability. Please check your portal for one-time pricing and scheduling.

Can I skip a week, change my bag size, or cancel my subscription?

Yes! We offer total flexibility to fit your lifestyle:

  • Adjustments & Cancellations: You can upgrade your bag size or cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account portal. To avoid being charged for your next cycle, please make all changes at least 24 hours before your monthly renewal date (the monthly anniversary of your sign-up).
  • Flexible Scheduling & Vacations: Your monthly subscription includes 4 pickups per billing cycle. If you are out of town or do not have a load ready one week, you can "bank" that pickup for later in the same month. You can catch up by scheduling an extra pickup on a different day the following week.
  • Monthly Expiration: All 4 pickups must be used within your current billing month. Unused pickups do not roll over to the next month. Because your subscription secures a recurring spot on our route, you will be charged for your full monthly allowance regardless of how many pickups are scheduled.
  • Missed Pickup Fee: If we do not receive prior notice and our driver arrives to find no laundry at the designated spot, a $15 missed pickup fee will be charged to your card on file to cover fuel and labor costs.

What happens to the custom FreshFold Laundry bag if I cancel next month’s subscription?

If you choose not to renew your subscription for the upcoming month, we will still process your final week of service as normal.

To ensure our reusable laundry bags remain available for active members, your final laundry delivery will be returned to you in a disposable, protective plastic bag rather than the custom FreshFold bag.

How should I prepare my laundry for pickup?

  • Check Pockets: Please remove all items like pens, lip balm, coins, or receipts. While we do a quick external check for safety, we are not responsible for damage caused by items left in pockets.
  • Fasten Closures: Close all zippers, snaps, and buttons to prevent snagging or tangling during the wash cycle.
  • Check for Repairs: Look for loose buttons or small tears. If you notice any, please let us know so we can handle the garments with extra care.
  • Dry items only: Please do not include damp or wet items (like wet towels) in your bag, as this can lead to mildew and odors before we reach our facility.

Do we treat stains?

We do our best to remove every stain! For the best success, please place any heavily stained items in a separate, small clear bag within your main laundry bag and include a quick note about the type of stain (red wine or grass). While we are highly successful at stain removal, we cannot guarantee 100% removal for all fabric types.

What if I have very delicate items?

Because we use high-capacity professional machines, we recommend that items requiring hand-washing or dry cleaning not be included in your standard wash-and-fold bags. For machine-washable delicates, we suggest placing them in a small mesh laundry bag within your main bag and specifying in your profile preferences.

What happens if there is bad weather on my delivery day?

Your clothes safety is our priority. If it is raining or showing, we will “double bag” your clean laundry in protective plastic to ensure it stays dry. If the weather is severe (like a blizzard) and unsafe for our drivers, we will contact you immediately to reschedule for the next available safe window.

How is service handled for holidays that fall on a weekday?

If a holiday falls on one of your scheduled service days, please check our online booking calendar. If a specific date is blocked off, our team is observing the holiday and will not be performing pickups or deliveries that day.

In these instances, we will automatically resume service on the next business day. Please note that because the pickup is shifted by 24 hours, your delivery day will also shift by one business day to allow our team the necessary time to provide our signature FreshFold quality.
